Can you use coconut oil on your baby?
Coconut oil is a natural product and it can be used on your baby to help with cradle cap and nappy rash. Some studies have also shown that massaging pre-mature babies with coconut oil can increase weight and growth. Nursing mothers can also use coconut oil as a nipple cream and it is great for stretch marks.

Coconut oil will treat dry, flaky scalps that are suffering from cradle cap as an alternative to steroid creams. Try rubbing some oil into the affected area then wash off any excess after 20 minutes. Repeated treatments should help to clear it right up but always check with your midwife if you have concerns.
Used as a nappy rash cream, coconut oil is fantastic for treating your baby’s delicate little bottom. Its antibacterial properties will clear the skin whilst its nourishing properties will heal the skin. In the meantime the coconut oil on the skin will help to provide a barrier to any further irritation.
Coconut oil in the bath, as a lotion and as a massage oil with clean your little bundle, keep their skin delicious and soothe them to ensure a good night’s sleep.
