Coconut oil during pregnancy?
Always speak to your doctor about any concerns you have in relation to your pregnancy.
Coconut oil helps to regulate and balance hormones which can be helpful during pregnancy or at other times when you might find your hormones are out of kilter. It can also help with ovulation and conception.
Coconut oil is a staple of many women living in coconut producing countries where it is considered to be healthy for pregnant and lactating women. If you already regularly take coconut oil without any adverse effects, there is no reason why you should discontinue.
However, if coconut oil is not a normal part of your diet, taking in more fat than you are used to, too quickly, may cause digestive discomfort and diarrhea and you don’t need that if you’re pregnant.
